Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the rules governing your use of the WickLog web application ("Service") at https://wicklog.in. This AUP is incorporated by reference into and forms part of the Terms of Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.
1. Permitted Use
The Service is intended solely for:
- Personal trading journal use by individual retail traders to record and analyze their own trades
- Performance tracking of your personal trading activity on NSE, BSE, and F&O segments
- Broker data sync from your own brokerage accounts that you are authorized to access
- AI-assisted analysis of your personal historical trade data via Ticker AI
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Illegal and Regulatory Violations
You must not use the Service to:
- Engage in or facilitate any activity that violates applicable Indian law, SEBI regulations, or the laws of your jurisdiction
- Facilitate or promote insider trading, front-running, market manipulation, circular trading, or any other securities law violation
- Launder money or facilitate fraudulent financial activity of any kind
- Record trades that violate SEBI margin or position limit regulations
2.2 Unauthorized Access and Security Attacks
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, WickLog's servers, or associated infrastructure
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, its APIs, or related systems without written authorization from WickLog
- Bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature, authentication mechanism, rate limit, or access control
- Exploit any bug, vulnerability, or unintended functionality in the Service — instead, report it to sachin@wicklog.in
- Submit false or misleading credentials or information to gain elevated access or privileges
2.3 Reverse Engineering and Intellectual Property Violations
You must not:
- Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code, underlying algorithms, or trade secrets of the Service
- Modify, copy, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service or its content
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary labels in the Service
- Use the Service (including its features, data models, or UI patterns) as a basis to build a competing product or service
2.4 Automated Data Extraction (Scraping)
You must not:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Service using bots, crawlers, spiders, or any automated mechanism without prior written permission from WickLog
- Use data obtained from the Service beyond your own personal journaling and analysis
- Share, sell, or distribute any data accessed through the Service to third parties
- Attempt to aggregate data about other users or infer information about WickLog's user base
2.5 Infrastructure and Network Abuse
You must not:
- Use the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on WickLog's infrastructure
- Launch or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against the Service or any connected systems
- Introduce, upload, or transmit viruses, worms, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or any other malicious code
- Interfere with the proper working of the Service, its servers, or networks connected to the Service
2.6 Broker API Misuse
When using broker integration features (Zerodha, Dhan, Groww), you must not:
- Connect a brokerage account that does not belong to you, unless you have explicit written authorization from the account holder
- Use WickLog to extract broker data in violation of your broker's API terms of service or acceptable use policy
- Use WickLog as a mechanism to circumvent broker-imposed API rate limits or technical restrictions
- Share your broker API credentials with WickLog on behalf of another person without their full knowledge and informed consent
2.7 Account Misuse
You must not:
- Share your WickLog account credentials with other individuals
- Provide access to your WickLog account to multiple users simultaneously
- Create multiple WickLog accounts to circumvent plan limits or feature restrictions
- Register an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent
2.8 Content Violations
In any content you create within WickLog (journal entries, trade notes, feedback forms), you must not:
- Include personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activity
- Use any content features to communicate with or target other WickLog users (WickLog is a single-user personal journal, not a social or communication platform)
2.9 Ticker AI Misuse
When using the Ticker AI feature, you must not:
- Attempt to manipulate, "jailbreak," or circumvent the AI system's safety guardrails
- Submit deliberately false or fabricated trade data to generate misleading AI outputs for distribution to others
- Use AI-generated analysis or outputs for commercial distribution, resale, or as simulated financial advice to other persons
- Use the AI feature to generate content that impersonates a SEBI-registered analyst or licensed financial advisor
2.10 Commercial Exploitation Without Authorization
You must not:
- Resell, sublicense, or offer access to the Service as a commercial product without WickLog's written authorization
- Use the Service to generate trading analytics or reports for third parties on a commercial basis
- White-label or rebrand WickLog's Service for distribution to others
3. Responsible Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, we request that you disclose it responsibly:
- Do not exploit or publicly disclose the vulnerability before giving us a reasonable opportunity to fix it
- Email us at sachin@wicklog.in with subject line "Security Vulnerability Report"
- Provide a clear description of the vulnerability, steps to reproduce, and potential impact
- Allow WickLog a reasonable timeframe (typically 90 days) to investigate and remediate
We appreciate responsible disclosure and will acknowledge your report. WickLog does not currently operate a bug bounty program but reserves the right to recognize significant contributions.
4. Consequences of Violations
WickLog reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take the following actions in response to AUP violations:

| Severe / Malicious | Permanent account termination without refund |
| Illegal activity | Report to relevant authorities (law enforcement, SEBI, or regulators) and pursue civil remedies |
WickLog is not obligated to issue a warning before suspending or terminating accounts for serious, malicious, or illegal violations. Terminated accounts are not entitled to refunds of any unused subscription period or credits.
5. Reporting AUP Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP or you have identified abusive behavior, please report it to:

Include as much detail as possible: the nature of the violation, when and where it occurred, and any supporting evidence. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. WickLog does not tolerate retaliation against good-faith reporters.
6. Changes to This AUP
WickLog reserves the right to update this AUP at any time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or industry best practices. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
