Cookie Policy

    Last updated: June 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how WickLog ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar browser-side tracking technologies on https://wicklog.in ("Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

This Policy is maintained in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

    1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to recognise your device and session across visits and are used for authentication, preference storage, and analytics.

    Related technologies used by WickLog:

    • Browser localStorage — Persistent key-value storage used for authentication session tokens
    • Browser sessionStorage — Temporary session-scoped storage used during OAuth flows
    • Tracking Pixels — Small image requests used by analytics providers to record page visits

    2. Categories of Cookies and Storage

2.1 Strictly Necessary — Authentication and Session

These are essential for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without preventing login and core functionality. No consent is required for these under applicable law.

These are stored in browser localStorage (Supabase tokens) and a browser cookie (sidebar_state).

    2.2 Analytics and Performance

These cookies help WickLog understand how users interact with the Service, enabling improvements to performance and user experience. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymised before any reporting or analysis.

    _ga_[MEASUREMENT_ID]Google Analytics 4Maintains GA4 session state2 years

Google processes analytics data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. WickLog has enabled IP anonymisation in the GA4 configuration so that full IP addresses are not stored by Google.

    2.3 Third-Party Authentication

These are set by Google during the OAuth sign-in flow.

    2.4 Advertising (Google AdSense)

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings.

    3. Browser localStorage and sessionStorage Usage

These are not traditional HTTP cookies and cannot be cleared through the cookie management tools in most browsers. They are cleared when you log out of the Service or use browser developer tools.

    4. Managing Cookie Preferences

    4.1 Browser Cookie Controls

You may control, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refer to your browser's support documentation:

Important: Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies (Supabase auth tokens and localStorage entries) will prevent you from logging in to the Service.

4.2 Opt Out of Google Analytics

Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent GA4 from collecting your usage data across all sites.

4.3 Opt Out of Google Ad Personalisation

    4.4 Do Not Track

WickLog does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, as no uniform standard for compliance exists. We will update this Policy if a recognised standard is adopted.

    5. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice before they take effect. The "Last Updated" date on this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
