    The Journey

    From Messy Notebooks to a Modern Journal

    The Problem

    Messy notebook & sheet setups

    I used to journal on a paper notebook, but it wasn't accessible on the go. So I moved to Google Docs and Sheets — but over time, managing that manually became too messy and time-consuming.

    The Realization

    Expensive or generic tools

    Looking around, most trading journals were way too expensive. More importantly, they were built for generic global markets, missing the specific workflows and accounts that Indian retail traders actually use.

    The Solution

    Building WickLog

    I put my engineering skills to work and built a custom tool for my daily journaling. It automated trade logs, tracked my psychology, and let me backtest strategies. It worked so well that I knew I had to share it with other traders.
